Terms of service
The rules for using Fax Anything, in plain English. By sending a fax or signing in, you agree to them.
Last updated 17 October 2026. Published by Sellframe Ltd (company number SC472357), trading as Fax Anything.
1. Who we are
Fax Anything is a trading name of Sellframe Ltd, a private limited company registered in Scotland with company number SC472357. Our registered office is 14 Avonside Grove, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, ML3 7DL, Scotland, UK. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Sellframe Ltd, and “you” means the person using the service. You can reach us at support@faxanything.com.
2. What we do
We send the faxes you ask us to send, to fax numbers in the United States and Canada. You choose the number and the document. We pass the document to a fax carrier, which delivers it over the phone network. We do not check what a fax says, and we do not read your documents.
3. Using the service
- You must be old enough to make a contract where you live.
- The name you give is printed at the top of every page, as US rules require. It must be your own name, or the name of the business you are sending for.
- You must have the right to send what you send, and to send it to the number you choose.
- You must follow our acceptable use policy.
- Organizations covered by the US HIPAA rules, and their business associates, must not send protected health information with Fax Anything yet. We do not offer the agreement they would need.
4. Delivery is best effort
We try hard to deliver every fax, and we retry up to three times, five minutes apart, if a line is busy or nobody answers. But a fax depends on the receiving machine and the phone lines between us, which we do not control. We cannot promise that a fax will arrive, or arrive by a certain time. “Delivered” means the receiving fax machine confirmed that it received the pages. It does not mean that a person has seen them.
If a deadline matters, check that the fax arrived, and keep another way of proving what you sent. A delivered fax cannot be called back.
5. Prices and payment
- The price is shown in US dollars before you send. A fax of up to 25 pages is $1.99 at the time of writing. Packs of faxes are sold on the website.
- If you pay by card for a single fax, we place a hold on your card when you send, and only take the payment when the fax is delivered. If it is not delivered, we release the hold. See refunds.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- A fax paid for from a pack, or sent as the free first fax, is not charged again. If it is not delivered, it goes back to your account.
- We may change our prices. A change never applies to a fax you have already paid for.
6. Your documents and your data
Your document is used only to send your fax. It is stored encrypted and deleted within 24 hours of the fax’s final status. The privacy policy and the health data privacy policy explain what we do with information, including health information that may be inside a document you send.
7. Not advice
We are a delivery service. We do not give medical, legal or financial advice, and a fax sent through us is not a substitute for advice from a professional.
8. What we may do
We may refuse, cancel or block a fax, and suspend or close an account, if we think the service is being misused, if the acceptable use policy is broken, if the law requires it, or if a recipient asks us to stop faxes to their number. We may change or stop part of the service. If we make a change that matters to you, we will say so on the website.
9. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
- Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything connected with a fax is limited to what you paid for that fax. If it was your free fax, it is limited to the amount a fax would otherwise have cost.
- We are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of a problem on our side, for lost profit or business, or for what happens because a fax did not arrive in time.
- If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the legal rights you have where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms. A change does not affect a fax you have already sent.
11. Where the law comes from
These terms, and any dispute about them or about Fax Anything, are governed by the laws of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to go to the courts of the country where you live, and the consumer protection laws of that country still apply to you.
