Acceptable use policy
What you may and may not send with Fax Anything, and what we do when someone complains.
Last updated 17 October 2026. Published by Sellframe Ltd (company number SC472357), trading as Fax Anything.
You may not use Fax Anything to
- Send unsolicited advertising. A fax that promotes a product, a service or a business to someone who has not agreed to receive it is not allowed. This is “junk fax”, and US law (the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) restricts it. Canada has its own rules for unsolicited sales faxes.
- Harass, threaten or frighten anyone, or send the same fax again and again to a number that has asked you to stop.
- Commit fraud, run scams, or send anything that tries to trick the person who receives it.
- Send anything unlawful, including material that exploits children, or that you have no right to send.
- Pretend to be someone else. The name printed on every page must be yours, or that of the business you send for.
- Get around our limits, overload the service, or use it to attack or probe anyone.
HIPAA-covered organizations
Organizations covered by the US HIPAA rules, and their business associates, must not send protected health information with Fax Anything for now. We do not yet offer the agreement they would need. An individual faxing their own records, or someone faxing with the owner’s permission, is fine.
Limits
To prevent misuse we limit how many faxes an account, a payer and a recipient number can have in a day, and how many the service sends overall. We do not publish the figures, and they may change. A limit is not a judgement about you.
Stopping faxes to a number
If you own a fax number and do not want faxes from us, use stop faxes to my number. We check that list before every fax is sent.
What we do about complaints
- Anyone can report an unwanted fax or write to abuse@faxanything.com. We look into every report.
- If a fax broke these rules, we may cancel faxes still waiting to go, block the number it was sent to or the person who sent it, and suspend or close the account.
- We do not give out details about our customers, but we do act, and we keep records of what we did.
- We cooperate with the authorities where the law requires it.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for what you send and for following the laws that apply to you and to the person you send to. These rules are part of our terms of service.
